Scott Sell is an independent filmmaker and writer focusing primarily on documentary storytelling. He is a graduate of the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies and the Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism and has worked as a reporter, a creative writing and multimedia instructor at several schools and arts programs, the in-house filmmaker at the Island Institute, and a producer at Compass Light Productions and the Points North Institute.

He plays and records music when he has the time and is the host Random Rules, a radio show on WRFR 93.3 FM.

Together with his wife, Alexis Iammarino, they run Little Legs Projects, a creative company specializing in public murals, education, and multimedia production.

They have happily lived in Rockland, Maine since 2011 but, almost daily, he misses the pizza of his hometown of New Haven.
