Originally from New Haven County, Connecticut and a graduate of Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism, he has worked as a creative writing and multimedia instructor at several schools and arts programs, an online news producer at Education Week, the in-house filmmaker at the Island Institute and, most recently, a producer and editor at Compass Light Productions, a documentary post-production house in Camden, Maine.

He is a member of Steel House in Rockland, Maine where he lives with his wife and two handsome tuxedo cats.

He plays and records music when he has time and is a DJ on a radio show called Random Rules.

More than anything, he loves Otis Redding, trains, and New Haven pizza.
