We are an interdisciplinary husband and wife team who create film and public art projects concerning social history, artmaking, and documentary expression. Our approach draws from years of working respectively as a dance artist/choreographer and a filmmaker/journalist.

Alexis Iammarino trained as a performing artist – in modern dance, ballet, and choreography – which has informed her studio practice in the visual arts and in several collaborations, including her work as a photographer, cinematographer, and a community and public artist.

Scott Sell, and his writing and multimedia work, is informed by the documentary arts and the process of gathering community voices in the oral history traditions of documentarians like Studs Terkel and Pam Wood.
